Student Sponsor/Scholarship Fund

Study abroad can be an expensive venture for any student, but especially for minority students in the US and abroad. Minority students have long been under-represented in study abroad programs and we'd like to change that.  Sponsoring students who are financially challenged allows them to experience the tremendous life-changing benefits from interning in a different environment and country. Not only will they have a cultural awakening, but they will also be obtaining knowledge and developing skills that are critical for their professional career.

Charitable gifts for student sponsorship/scholarships can be given through our sister organization, Nutrition Education for Disease Prevention (NE4DP).  This is a nonprofit incorporated in the US and Barbados.  Sponsorship and donations made through NE4DP are tax deductible. You can learn more about the work we do in Barbados through this nonprofit by going to www.ne4dp.com

Sponsor Students from Africa

Uganda is a poor nation where many are still living on less than a dollar a day.  Yet students need the same opportunities to learn and grow as students in any other country. NA4NS has partnered with the Allied Nutritionist Association ltd. in Uganda and the Uganda Health Ministry to offer a uniquely tailored 4-week rotation for their students. The rise in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Africa has created the need for nutrition expertise in specialized areas in which their current nutrition professionals do not possess.

Student sponsorship is a way to make an enormous difference not just for Ugandan college students but also for their nation and Barbados.  You can learn more about our sponsorship program by clicking the "Sponsor a Student" tab above.

We'd love to introduce you to college students like Kamara, Namyenya and Nyawarega who are eagerly awaiting sponsorship.
